Lost Sound on my Aspire-A15-54

I have the latest version of windows 10 Build 19042, Realtek Audio Driver6.0.8865.1, Intel Display Audio driver 10.26.0.6  and BIOS version V1.21 and along the way I lost all sound.  Microsoft had me uninstall and reinstall the Realtek driver and then go back to a restore point prior to the time the sound failed and absolutely nothing has worked.  Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Open Device Manager. Do you see any red or yellow warnings? If not, click on the "Sound, video etc" folder and post a screenshot if possible. Jack E/NJ

    Can't get a screenshot but there are no warnings.  Both Intel Display Audio and Realtek Audio are listed as working properly with no updated drivers available.

    bro i have an acer nitro5 which i bought just 1 week earlier and all of a sudden my right speaker stopped working and i can't seem to understand what's the problem

    Right click speaker icon in tray. Click sound settings. Click speakers(Realtek etc). Scroll down and click manage sound. Click output devices. Are speakers buttons labelled disabled or enabled ? Jack E/NJ

    When I click on manage sound devices output devices speakers there are no speaker buttons shown-  There is just the option to test.  I've already run all the troubleshooters to no avail.

    Are realtek speakers shown as output devices AND selected on the previous screen? Set volume slider and 100%. Then select manage sound devices again. Does the disable button now appear? Or is it still only test button. Jack E/NJ

    The volume slider was already set at 100%.  Still only a test button.

    And they were selected.

    OK. Try this. Download, install and run iobit's DriverBooster freeware to see if it'll pick up a more appropriate driver on line. The one in there now is obviously not telling Win10 sound settings app if it's enabled or disabled. https://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php Jack E/NJ

    It did update one sound driver but not the Realtek.  After rebooting still no sound or anything other than "test"

    Just FYI from digitaltrends 11/6/20:

    "So far, the 2020 updates to Windows 10 have caused a plethora of sound problems, including audio that just won’t work and third-party app audio that’s too low to use properly.

    If one of your recent Windows updates has caused sound problems like these, you should first look at your volume mixer and see if anything has changed. Look at your taskbar and you should see a speaker icon on the right. Right-click it and choose to Open Volume Mixer. Check your sliders, especially for any third-party apps, and make sure they look normal. Some of the sliders may have been turned down extra low and will need to be adjusted to fix your volume.

    Unfortunately, other recent sound issues have proven harder to fix. If you have systematic volume failure due to a recent update, even rolling back those updates has rarely proven successful in fixing sound issues. Your best option is to watch for any new updates and apply them quickly so that you’ll know when Microsoft patches the problem."

    Installed but did not fix the problem and still only the "test" option

    If you tried the test button and still no sound, then probably the best way to rule in or rule out a hardware is an erase everything ALT+F10 cold boot factory reset. It's pretty drastic as it brings the software back to a factory fresh state.  You'd need to backup your personal files before attempting it. Jack E/NJ
