Hi, I have the laptop mentioned above, bought in 2018 or 19 I believe. The 8gb of RAM seems to be a bit weak and I find my computer glitchy and laggy during gaming. I would like to buy a compatible 8gb RAM stick in the UK, and not have to wait ages. Most of the posts here are for US users so I figured I’d ask about any RAM available in the uk compatible to my laptop. Thanks

  • Hi,
Could you please open the memory door and post the model name of the current module, so that I can look for matching module.

My advice to you is this, get and install CPUz (if you haven’t got it) and look at your existing RAM specs in the CPUz “Memory” and “SPD” sections and match the specs of your existing RAM. The best way to find out what the max RAM that your Nitro AN515-51 can take is to do it through the command prompt as an administrator, have a look at this extensive guide that tell you everything: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-get-full-memory-specs-speed-size-type-part-number-form-factor-windows-10 its very simple and accurate as some distributors and manufacturers of RAM don’t give you an exact guide of what your laptop/computer MAX RAM is and this can be confusing and allot of people buy the wrong RAM size, speeds and timings that are not suitable for their laptops/computers.

The example below is to determine the "Maximum RAM Capacity" that your Nitro AN515-51 can take and its 100% accurate.

Go to cmd prompt and run it as administrator and use this command:

    • wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices

33554432 divide by 1048576 = 32 divide by 4 = 8GB divide by 2 as this laptop has 2 slots for RAM = 4GB per slot of MAX RAM
