I have an All In One ACER Aspire Z24 PC with HDMI output. I have connected a HDMI cable to my TV via a 5 meter cable but the TV is coming up with the message "Weak or no signal". Of course the cable may too long but that is length I need it at. DO I need some sort of HDMI output amplifier or booster gadget to make it work?

Yeah, 5 meters is quite a long distance, but if the cable is good quality it shouldn't have any problem. There are two types of cable manufacturers, those who make cheap cables and those who make compliant cables. For that kind of length (and even as far as 10-12 meters) a cable design that has been tested and found compliant to the spec should work fine. There are several models of the Z24, can you give me the full model number and maybe I can look up which HDMI version is supported? I think they might all be 1.4b, but they might have switched to 2.0 in some of the newer models.
