On the 6th of November, my laptop charged as normal, the red light showing up -  but then it did a thing it sometimes does where the red charging light flashes. I switched everything off and inserted a pin into the battery hole, only to have a problem wherein my laptop wouldn't switch on for about half an hour. I managed to fix it by inserting a different pin, but ever since, my battery still reads "Fully charged (100%).
I would have expected it to have charged either yesterday (the 9th of November) or today (the 10th) upon starting my device up in the morning. I've checked several times with Acer Care Centre, and it says my battery's health is good. My laptop has been working fine since recharging on the 6th.
When I inserted the first pin, there was a slight crunching noise, even though I inserted it gently. There was a second similar noise after I inserted the second pin. I had worried I might have severed a cable somehow, but after I got my device working with the second pin, could it have been possible that somehow, a piece of debris got in through the pinhole, as tiny as it is?

Should I wait another day or two to see if it will charge on its own, or should I unplug the adapter, let the battery run down a little, and then try charging it back up?
For reference, this is an Acer Aspire ES1-533-P31J.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I should clarify that my battery light is blue, and has been since it finished recharging on the 6th of November. My laptop has also been charging fine and has been switching on just as normal, too.
My main concern is that the blue charging light hasn't changed to red since, which I would have expected it to by now.
Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT #2: I just came back, and upon switching my laptop on it started charging. The red light stayed on throughout, and now it's back to being fully charged.
