Hi,
My laptop is aspire E5-576. It's been almost 2.5 years since the problem persists. Actually, the problem had arisen after 6 months from the date of purchase but I didn't give much attention because there was no heavy use of laptops. The problem is, after a few minutes of inactivity its screen shuts down (before allocated time of 5 min to go to screen off) & no matter how hard you try to wake it up, it doesn't wake up unless you hit power bottom for few second & hard reset it.
At that state:
  • LED indicator shows laptop is on
  • fans are running even more rapidly with noise
  • if music is playing, it freezes (like Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....)
  • Screen is black & off
It so frustrating because all your works are gone & after hard reset, the laptop hangs so much.
I have tried:
  • re-installing window
  • updating all drivers
  • bios update
  • fresh restart with & without personal data loss!
What is the problem? it is hard disk or RAM? if it is, how to check them?
It has a slot for M.2 SSD, so I am planning to use SSD. will it help?

Open Control Panel.  Search 'power'. Click 'change when computer sleeps' in left pane. Click 'change advanced power settings' Click 'sleep' folder. Click on hybrid and hibernate folders  to disable and set to never on battery and plugged in. Jack E/NJ

Nice to see a description that matches mine perfectly. No, disabling Hybrid Sleep, disabling all sorts of Hibernation (powercfg -h off), adjusting HIPM+DIPM, no drivers, Support Drivers, latest drivers, all of this did not fix the problem.

It would be very nice if a solution is found. The problem is really annoying.
