Acer predator 17 no power, no battery light

I've got a predator 17 laptop and today while I was using it the screen went white but the sound was still playing.

The laptop turned off so I tried to turn it back on several times but the laptop lit up and instantly turned off.

Now the laptop is completely dead and even when it is plugged into the mains the battery light is not lit.  The light on the power brick is lightning up.

I'm not very technically minded with them but I've taken the back cover off and disconnected the battery and reconnected but it hasn't done anything, does anyone have any ideas? I'm out of warranty and wondering how much it would cost to send it to acer themselves.
Thank you

    Hi @Smartemarte

You can just disconnect the laptop from the charger or any other peripherals if it happens to be connected. After that turn off the laptop and turn it upside down. At the back side of the laptop you will be able to find a tiny hole, you need to take a safety pin or a paperclip and just poke into that hole not too firmly and hold it down for about 30 to 40 secs. After that try to connect the laptop back to the charger and try to turn on the laptop and check whether it does make any difference.

Hope it will help you in some way.
