I'm coming from a Thinkpad TN display at its lowest setting on brightness, and it's just perfect for my eyes - the Acer though, it looks like the brightness is at maximum even when I set it at lowest. I tried lowering it some more with Intel graphics settings, but still it's too bright. Right now I've enabled black theme all over - windows, browser, everywhere - and now it's kinda tolerable but I'd like to know if there is a way to dim the backlight further than the lowest level Fn+left arrow button allows. I tried a software called f.lux but it just adds a red tint over everything and I can't disable that tint.

Is there anything else I could try?

I just lowered gamma level to the minimum on color calibration - that made looking at the display way easier than how it was before
