So I repasted my cpu and gpu and cleaned my acer helios 300 fans and air ducts and my gpu temps were decreased significantly. However, 2 of my cpu cores are running 10+ degrees hotter than the other ones the max temp on them are 98 degrees celcius while the other cores are around 87-89 degrees. Note that the cpu is undervolted. This makes me cap my clock speed at 3200 mhz in order to keep stable temps on those two cores. What seems to be the problem?

Another problem that I'm having is with the fans. My fans ran 6100 rpm before repasting but now on max speed they reach around 5600 rpm. What can I do to fix this?

It is possible that the paste didnt spread throughout the die thus not covering the 2 cores enough. Also 87-89'c is quite a high temperature so i think u should apply thermal paste again. Use good quality thermal paste like kryonaut or mx4

Oh. I'm really scared of opening my laptop xD. I always think I'm gonna mess something up and brick the whole thing. Don't wanna spend another 30 dollar and let a hardware store do it.  Guess I gotta follow that youtube tutorial and do it myself. Hope I don't mess up.

When I did it first i was also scared. But i ended up opening it 7 times because of some careless mistakes i made. So if u r careful nothing can go wrong.

For the first 3 times i didnt know how to apply the paste, i was applying too little or too much. The 4th time i opened it to use kryonaut but i forgot to put a screw of the heatsink. So the next time i repasted but the temps werent good. Then i again opened it 6th time and changed thermal pads also. But the thermal pad was too big so no contact was made and my temps skyrocketed instantly. So the 7th time i opened and did a good repaste which is giving me good temps since last 2 months.
