Has anyone tried upgrading their systems from the 65w factory Intel CPU (core i5/i7) to an unlocked version with 95w TDP? I noticed the motherboards only have one 4 pin connector so I'm not sure if power ceiling will be an issue. I have an aftermarket tower cooler so that shouldn't be an issue.

Can confirm that the Core i5 9600K unlocked CPU will work properly in the Acer, albeit without any overclocking. It still represents a good boost to the original Core i5 9400 as the TDP has been raised from 65w to 95w. For those curious, I wouldn't attempt to put in the Core i7 9700k as that CPU's boosted clocks require a lot more wattage than the rated 95w it's listed at. At this point, I've almost swapped out everything from the original TC-885 and have turned it into a formidable gaming machine in its own right. The GPU spits out too much hot air into the case that I wouldn't leave it closed during gaming as it heats up everything inside even with a 92mm fan installed in the back.

    Core i5 9600K w/92mm fan tower cooler
    16gb DDR4-3200 (running at stock 2666mhz)
GeForce GTX 1080 ti with Arctic Accelero Xtreme III cooler taking up all 3 PCI slots
    750w platinum PSU

Will look to upgrade the SSD to NVMe 1TB in the future as soon as I figure out a way to clone image of current 500gb SSD into the new one.
