CPU Temp questions- PH315-52-710B

[PH315-52-710B] I have seen a lot of people say that CPU temps should not get over 90c- mine did while gaming. Here is a list of some temps (in celcius) from HWiNFO64. Are these temps normal? For reference, I was playing destiny 2 on highest preset and getting an estimated average 120fps. Near the top it is only around 50 degrees, but it gets up to 93 sometimes. Thank you so much! (I know that these repetitive questions get annoying- I just wanted to see if having a spike in temps is normal or not. Thanks!) (more context- this is a new laptop, have had for around a month, and it is kinda warm in my room. I have a small fan blowing on the bottom of the laptop but I don't think its helping)

Yes your system can manage but 90°C or more is not normal.
Thermal throttling start when temperature goes near 90°C.
In this you will not able to play games smoothly.

Default thermal paste is not good.
Your laptop temperature limit is 89°C means when your temperature reaches 89°C-90°C system start decreasing GPU/CPU clock speed(thermal throttling)to protect your components.
At that time you experience low fps,lag and shuttering in games.

You are under warranty take advantage to it 
Acer engineer will clean your laptop and apply new thermal paste so, send it to service centre 
First log your case and get your case ID
Get in touch with acer costumer care in your region for that 
http://www.acer.com/worldwide/
(They will ask your address,serial number etc to log your case)

After applying new thermal paste and cleaning fans, air vents your GPU temperature with not go more then 70°C and CPU goes upto 75°C (while playing high intensive games)

Also: It turns out that if i open my window and turn on a fan, the room is cooler and so is the computer. Anyone who sees this thread looking to solve their own problem: make sure your room is cool as well.

Also- I don't think the fans were maxed out while being at 85+ degrees. Is there a way to set a more aggressive fan curve?

Btw, You can control fan speed from predator sense

Thanks for responding. I am still under the 1 year warranty. I take it the temperatures are cause for concern?

Update: After talking to Acer Customer Support, the cpu can reach 95 degrees without harm.

Yes they are designed to take this kind of heat but it is not recommended. Not only will it kill the longevity of your laptop components but you are also throttling at those temps losing all kind of performance. I would highly recommend looking into undervolting. I game at ultra/high settings on most my games and maintain 120+ FPS on all games and most at 140+ plus and my spikes are no higher than 80 and most of the time less than that depending on the game. idle around 38-41 Just my 2 cents take it how you want
