TravelMate B118-M: Is it usual for ACER TravelMates to be defective now?

As a long-time ACER customer, I bought a budget TravelMate B118-M   NXVHPEK001XXXXXXXXXXXXX in November 2019. The laptop went through a series of errors and the main board was found to be faulty and was replaced. I’m now getting exactly the same errors again. I've had two expensive TravelMates previously with no problems. Thank you.

No, it's not usual at all. What specifically are you seeing? Maybe they did a 'treat the symptom, not the cause" with the MB replacement.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I got a warning because I included the serial no so I think I'll find another IT community. Seems strange that I also got promoted to 'New User' as I was already a new user in a sense.

Yeah, if you include personal info it open you up to the potential of someone stealing your account, so we ask that you only do the first ten of a serial number, which includes the SKU specific info without the machine specific. I believe the "New User" tier requires an actual post, prior to that they have something else for a name. :) Once you get the New User tag you can send PMs and there are likely other perks as well... I don't know for sure since I haven't been a New User for more than a decade. :)
