HELP! I am ready to throw this thing against a wall. I am very happy with the Nitro 5 except the Trackpad likes to freeze. It worked fine out of the box for many months. I have searched and tried many things, but none seem to work. It has been happening for many months now. Tried the IO upgrade and the different drivers, have not upgraded BIOS.

Hi,
Go to BIOS screen, move to Main tab and check whether the Touchpad is in Advanced mode, if it's in Basic mode switch to Advanced Mode and see whether it helps.

Already Advanced0

Then switch to Basic mode, reboot and use the laptop for a while, again switch to Advanced and see whether it helps.0

If that doesn't help, go to Acer support site and download Quick Access Application, uninstall the Application in Programs in Control panel, then install the downloaded Application.

Will give it a try0

It seems to be better if I leave it is basic mode. However, it still freezes. Seems worse when the are two profiles logged in. Possibly system resource issues?0
