I have been using this laptop for about 6 months, and the battery life for this product is supposed to be about 11 hours according to the specifications. However, my laptop can only run for 2+ hours on battery power. Is this a problem of battery calibration?

Probably not. The 11-hour battery life is only an estimate, not a specification, based on very minimal use. Try this. Go to the elevated command prompt.  Enter 'powercfg /batteryreport'. Then return to the desktop. Open file explorer. Then search for' battery-report.html' in the c:\windows\system32\ sub-folder. Double-click to open it in the browser. Compare design full charge capacity with its remaining full charge capacity. That will give you a rough measure on how much wear the battery has experienced. Post screenshot of the first part of the report if possible. Jack E/NJ

Remaining battery capacity seems excellent.  The runtime on battery alone is entirely dependent on how many applications and webpages that you have running at the same time. Virus scanners can use a lot of power if you're doing a lot of online activity. If you have the screen set to maximum brightness this will also cause a big power drain. You should open ControlPanel. Search for 'power plan'. Click on 'choose power plan' in left pane. Then choose the 'power saver' plan and see it it improves runtime on battery alone because your battery is still in very good condition. Jack E/NJ

I have been running my computer on maximum power saving mode all the time, and since my battery capacity is still good, there should not be any reason for the very low battery strength?

"Maximum power saving"? As far as I know there is only a 'power saving' mode. There is a "maximum performance mode" Do you have it set for maximum performance? Jack E/NJ

I mean, I always keep my computer on the setting for best battery life from the battery settings. I also dont have many running programmes on my computer since I mostly use it for simple internet usage.
