I have only recently purchased this laptop and was nearly positive that it comes with a backlit keyboard? This doesn't appear to be the case and I notice that there is no 'A' flashing symbol that you would usually associate with turning on the keyboard light. I have tried 'Fn' + F8 for example and a few others but nothing seems to work. I did manage to come across a video online that shows you how to 'disable' the keyboard time-out function by accessing the settings menu on powering up by pressing & holding the F2 key - this brought me into a settings menu where 'Keyboard backlight time-out' is listed and it was set to 'Enabled'. I changed this to 'Disabled' to see if that had any effect but still nothing. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

This model only supports a backlit KB option but not necessarily installed. Without the symbol, you have a standard KB. Jack E/NJ
