Hello to the community !
I've been browsing the web and found many many answers that i'd like to clarify with the knowledge of this forum.

First, the details :

Acer Nitro 5
i5 9300H
GTX 1060ti
16go RAM
system runs on SSD
I added a 2to HDD

The laptop's temperature never goes down 87°-88° when plugged, even if i'm only running NitroSense to check it. It can go up to 97°-98° when gaming and, for now, I never had a real problem about it (except, may be, my former HDD dying while playing, but i'm not really sure it is related as there was a hard reboot going bad in the story). Still, it worries me about the lifetime of my equipment. When unplugged, temperature is around 60°-70°.

I often clean the vents (without removing them) but it makes no visible difference. I tried different power modes and also tried to reduce CPU usage to different values between 100% and 80% but, again it doesn't seem to change anything. I tried to undervolt by downloading Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility but it looks like this time is gone and it is not possible to do that kind of stuff anymore.

I plan to order some thermal paste and do the thing, but I don't know if this is really going to do the trick, considering how much I need to cool it down to get to less scary temperatures.

Help and ideas would be extremely appreciated !
