Iam using aspire a515-51g. Keyboard was not working. Power key was not working. I had to keep pressing other keys to turn the laptop on. But suddenly this grub screen appeared. I replaced keyboard. Now keyboard is working fine. Also if i go into BIOS it shows boot priority order as some blurred text. If i try to set priority order as default it shows <null string>.

    Problem solved.
Just ran bcdboot D;\windows  and it booted correctly. I was running 'C:\windows' later I found I had installed my windows in D.
    Thanks anyway man.

I was using ubuntu in the past. Then i removed it and started using windows. Everything was working fine but two weeks back power button stopped working. Keyboard might have shorted. If i press any other key except power key pc was starting but shutting down after 5 seconds. As long as i continued pressing keys it remainef on. I think pressing those keys might have triggered something

My guess is that there is some problem in bcd. Iam seeing grub only because i did not remove ubuntu correctly.
I tried to repair windows with bootable usb but that did not work.

I have gpt partitions. I checked all the partitions using diskpart, data is there and partitions are showing healthy. I just dont want to loose my data

Did you tape a spacer inside the back cover so that it presses harder against the switch button? Jack E/NJ

If everything turns on OK, then I suggest that you remove the drive. Then connect the drive to another computer's USB port with a USB-2-HDD/SSD adapter cable (less than $10USD), Get your personal data off of the drive before we try to tinker with it's EFI partition to get it to boot.  But before you attempt this, what does your BIOS Information tab look like. Please post a phoneshot if possible. I'd like to know if the drive is fully identified as to brand and model number in the Information tab. Jack E/NJ

RAW means it somehow got corrupted. Don't delete it yet. Try this. Go back to diskpart. Select the EFI partition. Assign letter a letter to the EFI partition such as Y:. Then exit Diskpart. At the X ;\ command prompt, enter 'Y:' At the Y ; \ command prompt enter 'dir /a'. Do you still see an EFI folder? Jack E/NJ

OK. At the Y: prompt enter these commands in order.

    (1) md efi\microsoft\boot
    (2) cd efi\microsoft\boot
    (3) bootrec /fixboot
    (4) bcd boot /l en-us/s Y: /f /ALL

If you get any errors, stop.
