The Acer Aspire 7 A717-72G-700J comes with an Intel 600p NVMe SSD with 256GB.

At the time of purchasing it, this SSD had a firmware version PSF109C:

There is a new firmware version available, PSF121C:

My question is:

1. Has anyone upgraded to this firmware version with this particular laptop and/or SSD? What has been your experience?
2. Is it safe/worth upgrading the SSD firmware? I have not faced any particular issues. The SSD is working fine with the current firmware.
3. There had been reports (see below) of this particular firmware update causing problems with the Windows 10 NVMe driver in FUA mode. This was back in 2017. Does anyone know whether this problem exists with this particular SSD and/or laptop? As per my understanding, this laptop is configured to use the Intel IRST driver and not the Windows 10 NVMe driver.

You seem like the adventuresome type. I think you should try to fix this by updating the current firmware.   :)   Jack E/NJ
