Hello all, my daughter's Nitro 5 has come up with this error:

repair disk errors this might take over an hour to complete

I have looked it up online and tried everything suggested. I tried to restore to factory settings and it wouldn't do it. I tried restoring from a restore point and it wouldn't do it. I've tried it all. I am convinced that the hard drive may just be shot. I have no issues replacing it. However, if I do, how do I get Windows (or the entire Acer package) on the new hard drive?  Is there a download I can load to a flash drive and boot up from there?

Thank you Batmalin. That is helpful and likely what I will need to do. I bought a new hard drive. Now I need to get the software to run. Would you happen to know if there is a way to purchase it and download it rather than have a drive shipped? I can't seem to find that as an option anywhere. Thanks for the help.
