My laptop specifications are below:
Acer Predator Helios 300 G3-572
Existing Ram size : 8 GB
Existing SSD : 128 GB

So, My laptop's Screen started flickering badly just 1 week after (30/SEP/2020) my warranty got expired. Upon diagnosing I got to know that it was a problem of my Intel integrated GPU. So, I disabled Intel HD graphics driver in 'Device Manager'. After disabling the Intel graphics driver, my display was working on Microsoft Basic display driver and my display stopped flickering. Honestly, it was working very fine on Microsoft's basic display driver, and I was happy to use it as it is. But few days later, My laptop stopped giving any display. It was turning on, but there was no display. My GPU was unable to send any signal to display at this time. I got it checked in computer market here (Nehru Place) which I believe is the best in my country here. Also I know some knowledgeable people in this market. They used their volt meter to confirm that it is my faulty GPU which is not working properly. And this GPU can not be repaired. (Before doing all this I obviously contacted the company and they told me the same that this won't be repaired and motherboard needs to be replaced. The motherboard in question is at the same price for which I bought this entire new laptop by the company(INR 53,100). At this price, I can buy a much better new laptop). So my laptop is dead just after 3 years of use. Completely dead...!

(Some background information below)
These are the upgrades I made in last few months:
Ram Addition: (11/MAY/2020)
My existing Ram was Kingston 8GB DDR4 2400 MHZ
I installed an additional Ram of Crucial 16GB DDR4 2400 MHZ in the empty RAM slot

SSD Upgrade: (31/AUG/2020)
Previously installed SSD was an Kingston 128 GB m2 sata ssd
I upgraded / replaced it with WD 500 GB Nvme SSD

I used to take care of my laptop as per my knowledge. Never would I ever keep it on bed / any soft surface. I always used it over hard surface for proper ventilation. Every 6-9 months, I used to clean its fan's exhaust very gently just removing excess dust. My laptop otherwise, was still in pretty new condition. No one would say my laptop was 3 years old. I want to know if I did something wrong that my laptop stopped working. Is it something I could have stopped from happening had I'd have known better? Could my upgrades mentioned above have contributed in failure of my GPU in any way?

There seems to be no fault on your side if you knew what you were doing when cleaning your laptop for the maintenance purpose. Apart from that did you ever replaced the thermal paste of your laptop or get it changed by service center?
If not that could be a point where the thermal rise over time with worn out thermal paste could have damaged the GPU or say motherboard.
I'm saying this because i lost one of my laptop with similar conditions to yours, I used to clean it regularly every 6 months or so but never changed the thermal paste and my CPU failed like you said about GPU and i also got it looked at NEHRU but repair was not possible.
For the future reference if you are a heavy user, say like daily usage of 10+ hours of device then get it repasted every year to be on the safer side, with some good quality TIM's.

@invador0007 No, I never replaced my thermal paste in 3 years, or got it replaced. And yes, I work on my laptop on heavy softwares, so it's used pretty much heavy usage. Maybe that is the reason why. Thanks for your insights.........!

I've very recently changed my thermal paste after 1 year of use for the first time.
The stock thermal paste was completely solidified, yours must be dry as a desert, try replacing it.

How high were ur temps when u were using the laptop through the 3 years because normally gpus dont fail due to heat in just 3 years. And also I dont think a change of the driver could fix the problem if it was the gpu because once the gpu starts dying its only going to progressively worsen. Mybe something is wrong with your display cable. I think there is a way to hook up an external monitor to ur laptop without the laptop display working(i am not sure about this though).
