MouseUp was never adequately performed by my ASPIRE 1830T-68U118 (i7, 4GB, win7)

Independently of the pointing device (touchpad or three different Microsoft mice) and from the first day, the laptop would not properly do mouse up. You need to do a second click, which it considers as a mouse up.

This means, for example, that to select some text after you click and drag to highlight the selection, and after you let it go, it does not confirm the selection but keeps selecting until you do a second click (you must be careful to do this second click right at the end of the selected text, and if you forget it and start writing to replace the selection, it either does nothing or instead of inserting the characters you type it only eats –one by one as you type– the characters following the selection). Similarly, when you scroll a window with the scroll box of the scrollbar, it does not stabilize the view until you click it again. Also, when you select a program from Start> All Programs it is very hard to select it, as the list keeps scrolling up and down, etc.

I am sorry that I initially I did not pay enough attention to the problem, as the laptop was used by my son, and now that I started regularly using it and decided to ask, it is out of warranty (bought in Oct 2011).

I have not found such a problem reported at the web. Has anyone seen this happening before? Does anybody know what I could do to stop this very disturbing behavior?

Thank you in advance.
