Hey folks.  I have had this Acer ET322QU monitor for a year now.  Really like it.  The other day I noticed a dark blotch near the bottom-center of the screen.  After looking at it from close, it seems a very small fly entered one of the vents on the screen and went for a stroll between the lcd panel and backlight, and of course, decided to stop or die right on that spot. I see it all the time and it's driving me crazy, had no dead or lit pixels on this display.  My monitor is still under warranty but I know, this is considered an infestation case in the warranty terms and is probably not covered.  Ok, so, what I am asking, if I bring the monitor to a repair shop, can it be repaired?  I don't mind paying but if its going to cost as much as a new monitor, well, you know.   I am in the greater Montreal area (Canada), does anyone have any good repair shops to recommend for this type of work?

Realistically the only repair is going to involve swapping the display out, I believe the display comes as a unit and you can't get in there between the layers, unless of course you are a tiny bug... :)

OMG - I have the same problem. A stupid little bug crawled into my screen and died.  I am looking to return them to Costco, but I got rid of the stands.  Looking for replacements.
