ACER PREDATOR - All apps are using NVIDIA 1060 GPU - when connected to external monitor

I have an ACER PREDATOR Laptop (Model PH315-51) with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060. I bought a monitor to work better with docs/excel (ACER KG241Q). I've connected the monitor to my laptop with a good HDMI cable. And I've selected display in '2nd screen only'.

My issue is that now almost all applications are executed by the dedicated GPU (NVIDIA) rather than Integrated Intel graphics. I can understand games running with NVIDIA but it's ridiculous for Excel, Word or any other application to run with NVIDIA graphics. Also sound and heat are much more when NVIDIA is running the apps. I don't have this problem when I work with laptop alone without the monitor. Connecting the monitor is forcing the GPU to work for all applications.

I've tried all options to my knowledge.
* In NVIDIA control panel, I selected "CPU" as the PhysX processor. (Changed it from 'Auto'). Still this does not force the usage of Integrated Intel graphics.
* In NVIDA Control panel, in Manage 3D Settings, I've selected "Integrated graphics" as the preferred graphics processor.
* If I disable the dedicated GPU in device settings, the display out stops working altogether.

None of the above options work.

Looking for some explanation/assistance.

My Laptop Specs
* Intel core i7-8750H @ 2.2GHz
* 32GB RAM
* Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
* 2TB Sabrent NVMe
* 2TB Sandisk SSD
* Windows 10 with all updates till date

    Try changing Control Panel power plan to balanced mode and reducing maximum processor state in advanced balanced mode settings. Jack E/NJ
