The bios recognize that the drive is in the computer but I cannot get it set up to work. When I went into disk management the new drive does not show...   HELP!!  What did I miss?

Thanks

Is the SSD brand new or it has something other than NTFS format in it?

This seemed tricky. If I were you, I'll try using third party programs such as PartedMagic, Gparted ...etc.  or use another OS to format the new SSD.
Normally speaking , when the BIOS sees the SSD, DiskMangement in Windows 10 should see it too, but not for your case.
