Hello, I have a Aspire T3-710 with a single 8GB Kingston acr16d3lu1kng. I am looking to take advantage of both ports, but am confused on a couple of things.
1) Not sure what type of RAM is a compatible replacement as the it does not have DDR3, or DDR3L on the stick.
2) I read before that the max memory is 16GB for this model, and Im trying to switch from kingston to something else. Meaning I need to buy a 2x8G set to get up to 16gb correct?
3) Also unsure of what the max mhz is for the ram, dont want to buy something that will be incompatible.

Online for pc builder I only get comparisons to DDR4, but I believe DDR4 will not work?

    You are welcome!

    Additional info:

Don't know the reason that you want to switch from the Kingston brand (maybe just a "IF").
Most people will say "matching the RAM sticks from the same manufacturer and same model if possible", but I do not care.
I have two PCs  with two RAM sticks from different manufacturers. It is important to match the specifications of the RAM sticks though. For your case, I think you just need to add another 8 GB with the same spec should bring the memory to 16 GB.

@ttttt you are correct, I thought you had to match them. Based on what I read on other places... so I just order a 2x8gb kit from crucial off of Amazon.
