These are all the things I know about my system. It's an Acer Predator G3-710 from 2016 and I am so lost with this whole BIOS thing. I've seen the BIOS updates from this link (https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/support-product/6373?b=1), but I have no idea what to do. Am I even able to go from R01-A4 to something from R02 so I can actually run this i7-7700 non K? The motherboard is the stock one that came with this desktop, and the only additions I have ever made was a fan and 8gb of ram I added. This CPU is my biggest buy for it, so I hope y'all can help me in anyway. Thank you.

First of all if you don’t know what you are doing with a bios “DON’T UPDATE AND/OR TOUCH THE BIOS” as you will brick your system, let a technician or Acer do it for you! Just remember “Upgrading your system BIOS incorrectly could harm your Acer product. Please proceed with caution” and espeially updating your Predator G3-710 bios you have to have some expertise!

If your system has bios R01.A4 the R02 bios’s are only compatible if you have the Intel 7th Gen cpu’s installed, all you have to do is update to the last bios R02-B2 for the i7-7700 cpu as that will update all the R02 versions.
