Hi everyone
Had a Chromebook 314 for a couple of weeks. It came up with the "chormeOS is damaged or missing" error on monday.  Followed the guides on re-installing from USB, but it always fails while verifying the USB in the chromebook.  We've tried 3 different USB drives (all 8GB) formatted and created on 2 different PC's.
Anyone got any ideas on what to do next?

thanks

one thing, the model code that comes up on teh "chromeOS missing or damaged" screen when we turn it on, isnt recognised by the Chrome Recovery unitlity.  we have to select the Acer chromebook 314 in the list.

Sounds like you might have a failing drive. Either swap it out with your vendor if it's new enough or contact Acer support for a repair.
