My HP printer will no longer print in color. (Acer Aspire 5 A515-51-563W)

 I contacted HP and they told me that my computer's drivers were out of date (Acer Aspire 5 A515-51-563W). I purchased both the computer and printer in 2017. Is there a way in which to update the drivers for free? I was told that this was possible but am unable to find a reputable way in which to do so. Does Acer offer this service? Thanks!

Hi,
Could you please post the model name of the Printer, have you tried downloading the Printer driver from the HP support site?

I have an officejet 3830 and yes, I contacted HP. They had someone from some sort of technical support call me and tell me that I had to pay $70 for a basic driver upgrade. I knew this was fishy so I said "No thanks". He said my computer was out of date and it didn't matter how new my printer was. They were both purchased in 2017. I have no idea why this font is so huge, btw.

Nothing is working. I'm frustrated here and everyone is telling me I need to either purchase the driver software or buy a newer computer. This just doesn't seem right.

You do realize that all those forum entries on the HP forums go all the way back to 2017. Literally NOBODY is actually telling you to buy a new printer or a new computer.

This comment makes no sense to me; it really doesn't address my issue either. What are you saying....and yes someone told me to either buy a new computer or purchase their software.

.....and for the record, I did not say the suggestion was from the forum, anyway; it was both the "tech" support I was transferred to as well as a couple of people from a google search. I'm sure people on this forum are on the "up-and-up".
