8 gb of ram upgraded to 16 gb 2666 mhz
Had the laptop for 1 year, temps were already abnormal after I first bought it in 2019, with idle temps around 60 degrees celcius and 92 peak at gaming, temperature holds at 92 while gaming. never dropping below 90. So one day I decided to repaste it with kryonaut and temperature did not change. I've browsed the forum for quite a while and tried some of other people's suggestions like creating new power plans, etc. I would play a game smoothly for around 10-20 minutes before it drops in fps and stutters every few seconds, and having lower average fps, not to mention it's also not having the expected fps for the game with this model (Valorant High settings, 160 fps average), while for me the first 10-20 minutes i would have 120 average 140 max, ON LOW SETTINGS, then after that 20 minutes it would drop to 60-80 average fps. And yes, i close all background and unnecessary programs while gaming.

If you see on the gpu temps and usage %, it occasionally spikes high, then drops to below 50% usage, and when it drops it causes the fps drops and stutters. I think it behaves like this due to it being too hot therefore dropping performance to compensate. The laptop can only drop to below 60 degrees if I let it idle for a period of time but the moment I play a game even if it's not a very demanding game like Valorant or Fall Guys. it immediately goes to 90. Coolboost on fan max speed.
I don't know if I just got a bad batch from the factory or something, but I just can't pinpoint the problem since even after repasting and cleaning it didn't work. I even elevate the laptop around an inch higher from the table. Another person had the same problem and repasted twice on a service center to no avail having the same 90 degrees temps but after he repasted himself it worked and now he has 80 degrees max under full load. So I'm tempted to do it as well, to disassemble the laptop and repasting it myself. But if that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. I knew I should have bought Asus, sorry Acer, your cost-cutting method is causing more harm than good.
