How to add an M.2 SSD drive as a secondary (non OS) drive for an Aspire 515-43-R19L?

I just tried adding a 3rd drive to this laptop but Windows 10 doesn't "fully" see it.  Not sure why so I'm asking for help.

The first drive is the 125Gb SSD drive that came with the unit and which has Windows 10.
The 2nd drive is a 1Tb SATA drive used only for storage.
The 3rd drive is a new 500Gb Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2.

When booting from the 125Gb, neither File Explorer or Device Manager show the new M.2.  It also doesn't seem to show up in BIOS.  However, Disk Management appear to know its there.  See screenshot.

The M.2 works.  I know that b/c I tested it.  I made a flash drive image of Windows 10 and installed it on that drive and I can boot from it, although when booting from it, I cannot see the other 2 drives.

The issue is that when booting from the original 125Gb SSD, the M.2 is not accessible and the same is true in reverse ... you cannot see the any other drives when botting from the new M.2 drive.

How can this be resolved?  Thanks!
