I am having the same issue.  This issue seems to have gotten worse over time for me.  I have ruled out the ports on my GPU (Display Port and HDMI), DP and HDMP cables have both been changed out so it is not a bad cable.  I have tried connecting to different power supplies.  I have changed the refresh rates of the display itself.  I have found no luck with drivers either.

I also have noticed that when I am using the sound output from the Acer through a Aux port, occasionally Windows does not recognize that the display for sound even when it is outputting image to it and is recognized in Display Settings and NVidia Control Panel.  I am beyond frustrated with this.  It is now conflicting with my ability to work from home.

This monitor is about a year, year and a half old.  I can't believe that a $200-$280 monitor is having these sorts of issues when my secondary MSI monitor has not had a single problem and is half the price and has better image quality.

Hello, I also got black screen issue with my XV253QX and GTX 1070 connected to displayport when I set refresh rate higher than 60hz even if G-sync has been turned off. It seems my issue solved after upgrade bundled displayport cable to a better displayport 1.4 certified cable, hope this helps.
