hi,
I have conceptD laptop and been trying to connect it to my monitor using USB-C port to HDMI cable. The error im getting from Device Manager is (Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed))
Below are all my troubleshooting which all failed to solve the problem,
1. Update Drive and Uninstall Device from Device manager, Driver got detected again with same error.
2. Creating a new local account and test it, getting same error
3. Updating PC and and finishing the repairs using Drive Easy software.
4. tested a different cable, getting same error.
5. tested the USB-C port using Muiltifunction Adapter which has two USB 3.0 and HDMI. The two USB 3.0 ports are working fine but HDMI to monitor didn't work.

    Hi @Bushrik

May be you should try to connect the external monitor with a display port cable.

Hope this helps you in some way.

Which ConceptD laptop do you have? As suggested the typical USB-C environment is either no video (mostly gen 1), DP over USB-C and then occasionally HDMI over USB-C. Try using DP or before ordering a cable give us your full model number and we can look up the specs on that port.

Its ConceptD CN315-71 and yes I checked and it has gen 1
I'm honestly not sure what to do now, i have two monitors which i want to connect to using this laptop (I wanted to extend both screens). Both monitors have VGA and HDMI only.
Appreciate advising if there is a way somehow to connect to both screens using this laptop. Thank you.

Okay, you have the one HDMI port and enough USB ports. I'd put a dock on one of the USB and run an HDMI off that for the second added monitor. It'll be too slow for gaming but plenty for graphics work or as just added desktop area.

Hi, just facing a similar issue. Are you saying that the HDMI port on the dock connected to one of the USB type A ports going to work?
