Can you please advise on RAM and SSD compatibility for Aspire5 A517-51G (i5-8250U)?

Hello, I have an (2018) Aspire5 A517-51G-52AZ, IntelCore i5 8thGen and it's really slowing down. I use it for gaming and for programming work.
Since I'm on a budget, I want to make sure whether what I'm buying is compatible and worth it.
The motherboard model is a KBL Dragonite_KL V1.15 with a single slot upgradable ram(max: 20GB).

Can anyone please advise on the following upgrade:
Current ram: 4GB 2400 upgrade to 16GB 2666 No-ECC SODIMM
Current SSD: EMPTY slot to M.2 PCIe NVMe 4.0 (2280)

Please feel free to give any recommendation/advice on the device or on which SSD size I should opt for(256 to 1TB)

Hi,
I would suggest you to upgrade RAM with a DDR4 2400MHz 16GB module, you can use a M.2 NVMe SSD up to 500GB but a larger M.2 NVMe SSD might work but can not confirm.

I don't understand what you mean by 2.0, 3.0, or 4.0, I would suggest you to go for a Samsung 970 Evo SSD like the one in the link.
