I have an acer helios 300 laptop from 2018 and it has never failed except for the fans on the gpu making super loud noises. But recently, I haven't been able to play any video game, big or small and it's been really frustrating for me. I believe it might be that the processor has boiled itself to death because the cpu fan went out or something, but I'm not entirely sure, and if it is the case, are there any ways to fix it?

Can you please be more elaborate?
Aren't you even able to launch the game?
Or are you not able to maintain a good framerate in the game?
Are you seeing spikes in highest and avg temps?
Processors have a safety feature, they'll thermal throttle if they get too hot beyond their rated limit to save itself.
As long as you are able to use the laptop, you aren't facing that big of a deal.

I can still use it but I suffer from severe frame rate issues. I can play games and they do startup and it does good for about five minutes if I shut down the laptop overnight and start it up. I'm getting CPU temps of about 203 F when gaming and about the same with the GPU. I have a laptop cooler fan under it but I think that that can only cool the laptop so much.
Is there a way to prevent the thermal throttle?
