    As you have been advised above, upgrade your spinner HDD to a SATA 3 - 6Gb/s 2.5 inch internal SSD and clone your operating system onto the SSD. Also and if you want to make your Veriton S6630G more responsive and quicker try to upgrade your i5-4670 cpu to an i7-4771 or even an i7-4790T that are both compatible Socket 1150/ Haswell cpu’s and can be replaced and will give you 25% - 35% more relative performance to your i5-4670 cpu, also increase the ram to either 16GB or its max 32GB at DDR3L-1600 UDIMM sticks of ram, see here what is compatible to the upgrade of your Veriton S6630G ram and SSd: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/veriton-s6630g

    Note with the BIOS: your Veriton S6630G BIOS version P21-A1 is the Acer OEM MBR/Legacy BIOS (its not even in the BIOS update) and can only be updated to the last of the MBR/Legacy BIOS of up to Version: P11.A2 dated 2014/01/14 updateThe Veriton S6630G came with two types of BIOS’s which is either an MBR/Legacy BIOS up to Version: P11.A2 dated 2014/01/14 or a GUID/GPT BIOS from Version: P21.A4 dated 2013/12/24 which is also called a UEFI BIOS

    You can upgrade to the GUID/GPT BIOS from the MBR/Legacy but you need to know what you are doing and be an expert or experienced in BIOS editing to upgrade. There is a way of doing this update if your Veriton S6630G didn’t come with a GUID/GPT BIOS (or so called a UEFI BIOS) but, you need to firstly edit the BIOS version P21.B4 dated 2014/11/18 titled “BIOS BIOS - UEFI for Windows 8 (Not for Upgrades) 1. Update RC code to 1.80. 2. Update microcode to M32306C3_0000001A” and then flash/update the BIOS to change your OEM MBR/Legacy BIOS and then reinstall your Win-10 64bit (or Win-8.1) onto either a spinner HDD or an SSD formatted GUID Partition Table (GPT) type format drive. Btw, I’ve done this to an Aspire V3-571G and it works perfectly. Don’t attempt and/or do this if you don't know what you are doing as you will brick your desktop computer if you make a mistake!

    Why are you trying to update the BIOS? It won't affect the system speed in any way measurable. Best is to first find out what's making things slow, then fix that. The machine is pretty old, it was first released with Windows 7 and then later with a UEFI BIOS and Windows 8. What OS are you running now? When you have it up and running with the lag happening does Task Manager in the performance task give any ideas on why it's lagging? I'm going to guess it might be running out of memory, causing swapping out to the virtual ram on the disk.

    @BryanGarcia

    Are you still using a spinning HDD? If performance is the problem, upgrading to a SSD will significantly improve the performance. Save an image file first. Remove old HDD and reset BIOS to default. Restore the image file to the new SSD. Try it.
