Battery help

So I recently ran a battery diagnostic and I noticed that my designed battery capacity was 53,939 mWh and but its full charge capacity is at 17,129 mWh, which is about 32% of it. I am really worried about what's gonna happen to my laptop, as I did the mistake of having it always plugged in due to it not notifying me whenever it’s low bat and it turning it off so suddenly. My laptop is an acer aspire s 13 4gb ram intel i5 gen 7 core. Please give me any advice on what I can do with my laptop, (preferably having to take it to the computer shop the last option, since my parents might freak out if they found out)

Firstly, how old is this battery? As it could also need replacing? Usually and if you have the laptop pugged into the mains it does have the problem(s) of not charging fully. Unplug the battery from the mains and use it until it completely turns off from its battery charge, then, recharge the battery to its full capacity. Do this a few each months and your battery will charge to 100%. I’m having the same problem having the laptop plugged into the mains all the time. It’s just a battery calibration thing that there is a way of fixing, have a look at this guide “How to Calibrate Your Laptop Battery” here: https://techviral.net/calibrate-laptop-battery/ then do a battery info report from cmd prompt like this:

1. Open the command prompt.
2. Type in:: powercfg /batteryreport
3. Make sure all hidden folders are shown
4. Open the report in: Users/your name or computer name/ Battery report.html
