No display during POST after adding GTX 1050ti to Acer TC-885

I've upgraded my TC-885 by adding a Zotac GTX 1050Ti and there is no output to the display  (HDMI or Displayport) until the Windows driver load.s Thus I cannot access the BIOS. If I cionnect an old monitor Via DVI then there is a POST display. Does anyone know if there is a solution to this or have I just landed with a card that is not fully compatible with my motherboard?
Thanks in anticipation.

I have seen people who added a GTX 1050Ti to the TC-885-UA91 and were happy about it (probably not a Zotac one). Nvidia recommends 300W PSU, so the original 300W should be able to handle it. How do you power this Zotac GPU?

I assume you have not wrongly plugged to the onboard HDMI port. I know some graphics cards will not allow both DVI and HDMI ports live at the same time (even when both ports are just plugged and only one is live).

If problem persist, probably a good idea to return the card if possible.

My new Aspire computer XC-886,bought one month ago, is connected to a monitor by HDMI. There is no display during POST, only a line at the bottom of the screen to ask you to press esc key to enter BIOS setting or F12 to select the boot mode.

You haven't answered how you powered the Zotac card. By the power from motherboard? By PCIe 6-pin or 8-pin power connector?

@ttttt Thanks for the reply and sorry about the delay. The card is powered from the motherboard. No sure about pins but it is the slot nearest the processor, the first one. I don't see additional power connection on the card. Also it's a mini, didn't realise there was a full size version as well.

Both Zotac GTX 1050-ti mini and OC versions consume 75W. The mini version draws power from the PCIe Bus from motherboard directly. The OC version has 8-pin PCIe power connector. For OC version, people can power it with a two SATAs to one 8-pin PCIe "Y" power connector (if PSU doesn't have additional PCIe connector for graphics card) without upgrading PSU as long as it is a 300W or higher.

Try to contact Zotac for compatibility problem and return the card if possible.

@ttttt I have been in touch with Zotac support who also recommended returning it. I've flashed the BIOS to latest version to no effect. Problem now would be finding a card that actually works fully.

I'm having similar experience but with slightly different outcomes. I upgraded to GTX 1070 with a new 750w PSU and 8pin + 6 pin power to the GPU. When plugged into Displayport, nothing shows up until Windows login. When plugged into HDMI, I get boot up screen with access to BIOS. Seems really strange so I'm stuck using HDMI on the primary monitor but can live with it.

Likely they just don't support low enough resolution for the POST period during boot. IIRC it might be 640x480 or 800x600. You can just use DP for everything except access to the BIOS and swap to HDMI for those times.
