we have an acer swift 3 since march. In the beginning the webcam image was ok. But after a few weeks we got very bad quality images and video. It looks like the lens is foggy, but I can't reach it to clean. (one picture taken in the first week, one today...)
The lights are not the problem, its the same in daylight. What could be the problem?

    Hi @AnjaLeflot

    1. Visit the drivers and manual site to download the web cam driver. Make sure you choose the appropriate operating system.
    2. Uninstall your current web cam driver and install the drivers you downloaded.
    3. Once installed, restart your notebook.

It looks like it's focused OK, just running in the low light mode. Are you sure there's not anything obstructing the lens?

    Hi,
I'm not sure. It's my 10 years old daughter's laptop. So there is always a chance she touched it with sticky fingers.
Ik tried to clean it with a cotton-stick (if that's correct English) but thé opening to thé lens is really tiny.
How can I be sure? Can I reach it?

What model number is it? Something like SP513-52N-xxxx... There is usually some glass of plastic over the lens itself, so you're pretty safe just wiping it down with a damp (not wet) rag.

OK, I'd use a lint free cloth to get in there. It's not obvious that what you are seeing there is the actual camera lens or a plastic shield over the lens. I think it's the later, since the indent doesn't look like it's quite as deep as the bezel is thick. If a cloth doesn't get in far enough to clean the edges it should at least get the middle cleared.
