Hi, I added 2 new 8mg memory sticks to my Aspire v3 572p 51ba laptop.  This is the memory I purchased. According to the company, this ram should be compatible with my laptop even though it mentions it is compatible with Apple.

After I installed the new ram,
I attached the power cord only. Not the battery.  Tried to start laptop, it starts to boot for about  10 seconds, then shuts down And tries to start again. I unplugged the power cord.

Reinstalled the OEM memory and it still tries to start but turns off after a few seconds and tries to start again. Here are the specs for the laptop Any one have any ideas of how to get the new ram to work?  I’m using Windows 10

thanks for your help.

    (1) What were the old RAM modules that were installed?
    (2) Do the old modules still work OK?

    Hi Jack,
the original memory was the Kingston memory in the above photos.

I called tech support from where I bought the new memory.

They suggested I remove the new ram and reinstall it making sure it was pushed in all the way.

I did as instructed and realized, I didn’t have it pushed in far enough. That fixed my issue.

Thanks for responding to my post.
