Hello,
I've been looking for a while on how to setup my own config on NBFC but its gotten really complicated i'm about to surrender to acer's aggressive fan control.
Could any advanced user help me setup my own config file, i would really appreciate it as the idle fans have been really bothering me for a while now.
I'd love to idle my machine at ~1000 rpms. It's so strange Acer doesn't allow fan curves and stuff that make sense.

Even if you go manual you cant turn them down low. I'm always idling at 1980rpms cpu and 2460rpm gpu. Very frustrating. And before someone posts that sheet that explains rpm on each cpu/gpu temp, i'd like to inform you that i've already checked all the other threads, but i really need this config.

Thank you

imadishimaru you could put a request to the nbfc dev on github for a conf compatible for your model (there are many already asking there) just bare in mind you have to disable secure boot in order to get nbfc to run and thats a bit of a security breach but everyone is free to take it also acer made the fan curves much more aggressive on the 2019/20 models in order to provide better cooling at all times and yes the dgpu is alwasy higher rpm that the cpu because it heats up more and thats why it has the aeroblade fan and the cpu only plastic delta  and they dont test it on 3rd party software only on their own proprietary software only the 2017/18 switch off the fan completely under 40 degrees also check the predator fb group in my signature you might find something really recent for you there good luck :)
Please stop using such a long signature it's really too long, i don't like seeing it 7 times in the same thread and only makes me scroll up and down for much farther than needed, i recognize your long signature everywhere i'm looking for useful answers and all of your answers on different threads never helped. And please use punctuation, it becomes very frustrating to read your answers on every thread when you're looking for answers to your problems https://grammar.yourdictionary.com/punctuation/what/fourteen-punctuation-marks.html

The fact that i have to rely on a third party program to fix a problem acer could easily tackle says so much about how much they listen to customer complaints, i think lots of people can agree with me just looking at the messages they post on this forum. I would like to get a more professional answer.

You never provide actual answers to problems actually, you're just trying to look for excuses for why acer does these kinds of things. You say that you don't work for acer but you act like you know why they chose to go for such aggressive fan curves.

Most Youtube reviewers of this laptop say that the only downside of this model is the fan noise, I could easily turn off the fans on my model using a third party software that i had to spend so much time looking for, and my temperatures run very cool and always under 40C with the fans completely turned off (literally says 0RPM on the predator sense bloatware) I can't control the fans using the predator sense software because of some kind of restriction that makes it impossible to make the fans go under 2000rpm.
@xapim truly believe acer is a good company, then you should contact them on these different issues and tell their quality control team to make sure these problems don't continue onto their next models.

But instead you try to justify all these problems by reassuring the users that keep complaining on the forums, "hey it's okay they did it for you and to protect your computer don't worry about it". And then you expect us users to believe that you don't work for acer? Well, honestly at this point, i seriously hope you don't work for acer, you never even use commas or make your replies to threads eye-friendly it hurts to read your replies stacked in a single block of text like that, again, 0 punctuation.

This was a long rant, i don't know where to complain about all this, i've been looking for a solution for several months coming back to these same threads and finding people asking the same questions then finding you of all people justifying using the same excuses on every single thread, instead of working with the community to find a solution. Least you could do is tell people that you emailed their quality control team to look into it...

Anyway, sorry if i made someone feel bad about this, but i just feel disappointed overall.
