Search the Win start menu for 'nvidia'. Can you find an nvidia app that's already installed on the machine? If yes, start it and look for a setting to enable the adapter. If not, download, install and run hwinfo64 and GPU-Z freeware to see what they can detect. Jack E/NJ

    Hi @MBadaoui

I request you to first download the latest  display driver by going to https://www.acer.com/ac/en/IN/content/drivers.

Ones that is done I request you to perform a BIOS default.Steps for BIOS default-
    1. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, or until your system shuts completely down.
    2. Power on the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press F2 for notebooks or Delete for desktops to enter the BIOS.
    3. Press F9 and then Enter to load the default configuration.
    4. Press F10 and then Enter to save and exit.
Click " Yes " if this was helpful to you!!  :)

If the nVidia GeForce 940M is not in device manager then you don’t have an Nvidia Geforce 940M onboard, there is no magic that can make it appear. Don’t touch it as this laptop is still under warranty take it back whereyou bought it or get intocontact with Acer and get them to sort it out or exchange it for a proper spec acer e5-773g-76ae that has a nVidia GeForce 940M onboard.

Did the nvidia adapter ever seem to work or appear in DeviceManager?

It should be on a chip soldered to the mainboard, not a card. It would've been hidden under the heatsink. Why did you dismantle the laptop? Jack E/NJ

The e5-773G mainboard should have the nvidia chip soldered to it under that copper-colored thermal cover. Can you determine if the nvidia chip is really under there?   Jack E/NJ

Well, the chip is either missing or failed.  A solder reflow of the chip might work but has significant risks. Jack E/NJ
