Camera not working properly PH315-52-72RG
Hi, I'm using the Acer Predator Helios 300, and am having some issues with the integrated camera. When I initially got the laptop a little less than a year ago, the camera worked just fine, but now it's run into some issues. It seems like half of the time, the computer can't detect the camera for whatever reason. The app I'm using doesn't seem to change it - I've had the issue on both the 'Camera' app as well as Zoom. Both usually tell me that they can't detect the camera.
I've gone into my settings and done some troubleshooting unsuccessfully. Camera access for the device is on, and all apps I need camera access for have already been turned on. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for the camera, and am also on the most recent version of Windows.
After some further testing of the camera, I noticed that if I titled the top part of laptop back (the entirety of the screen part) and put it at its most "open" spot, the camera would suddenly turn on and function just fine. If I tilt it back towards me a tad, the camera will continue to work, but I can see noticeable "tears" and odd glitchiness/strange colors showing up across the screen. If I then continue to tilt the laptop back towards me, the camera will cease to work at all.
I'm assuming this is just a hardware defect that I should get checked out, but I just wanted to confirm that there isn't something I'm missing that could fix it. Thanks.
