Hi.
A few months after buying the Orion 3000 the front headphones connection just stopped working - the system doesn't recognize when anything is plugged in. The back one is working fine, so I'm guessing it's a physical problem. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Thanks,
dk

There may be a very simple explanation to this problem.

If your computer allows multiple audio streaming --- i.e. your family sitting on the sofa wants to listening to music from the back panel computer speakers and you want to watch/listen to a youtube video at the computer screen with the front panel headphones --- since you don't have a second audio source running, your second audio output will be silent.

I'm guessing you have one of the PO3-600 models, if it's a PO3-620 instead it's likely similar if not exactly the same. The front I/O ports are mounted directly on the motherboard, so there's no way for a cable to come loose or anything. When you plug something into either the headphone or mic jack does the OS pop up a window asking what you just plugged in? If not you may have accidentally told the system to always think whatever is plugged in is the same, and in that condition I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't automatically switch the output device when you plug in. You can check in Sound Settings, just have the headset plugged in and bring up the settings to see if the headset is an option for output device.
