Hey everybody,
Hopefully somebody here is more in the know than I.
Had a SW1-011 that needed to have the motherboard replaced, due to it no longer turning on at all. So I ordered one matching the model on the motherboard, put it in, boots up fine to the BIOS.
Noticed the main screen of the BIOS didn't have a SN, only had "To Be Filled By O.E.M.". I have tried booting to a Windows 10 thumb drive, but it just returns to the BIOS screen. So I'm assuming the SN needs to be filled in before I can install the OS.

Now I'm set up to be a warranty provider for Dell and use to do warranty work on Lenovos with my previous employer. Both of those companies had a method or utility to set the SN on a new motherboard. Does anyone know how to on an Acer?

BIOS mods are not permitted on Acer Community, you should contact your Acer Service and/or get them to do this for you.
