Replaced Battery but seems like there is no battery connection (prior unknown issues with battery)

Original post and issue described here but basically my laptop, which I should have sent in while still under warranty, started having major issues where the screen would dim and battery mode would kick in, off and on infinitely - but the laptop did still work while unplugged a bit even though battery constantly said 0% charing...

NOW, with new battery which is from reputable source, Acer Cares shows 'good' battery (previously said 'poor'), BUT there is absolutely no charging, the computer dies if unplugged, and the orange light next to charging port blinks orange. There was a scary moment when rebooting from new battery where it seemed like Windows may not load and had some strange stuff but now it seems to be working ok otherwise. However I don't think the performance is good with gaming because lack of battery.

Any thoughts of what could be wrong and how much it may cost to get fixed by a local place?

As other colleagues suggested in your initial post, did you do what they suggested? Yes I know that you have bought a new charger and replaced the battery but did you do the following?

    1. Did you pack the power interrupt button (as suggested) that may not be pressed properly down on the RAM lid? Did you try putting a few layers of double sided tape packing to better press the button down when you close the lid, did you do that?
    2. Also, did you let your battery drain to 0% and then charged it up? And repeat this 4 times? As calibrating a battery is very important

Now, have a look at this guide “How to Calibrate Your Laptop Battery” here: https://techviral.net/calibrate-laptop-battery/ as this could fix your problem.

If not, then there could be something wrong with your Predator PH317-51 "DC Power Jack Cable" which is the link to charging your battery (see caption below) as the DC Power Jack Cable Male Pug could be faulty at the laptop case and is not making contact and that can contribute to your charger not making contact to charging your battery through the laptop circuits, try replacing that as it’s a very easy fix PnP and its also cheap. Let us know how you made out? Good luck.
