Hi! Mi Helios 300 only last 1 hour and 40 minutes as much without the charger connected. I'm only using Chrome and some Office products. The GPU is innactive, the battery is in saving mode and the display is at 3% bright always. Another problem is when I charge It. If the battery is below 70% the fans goes to +3000 RPM and I can't make them go slower, doing the same activities that I'm doing with the charger unplugged and PredatorSense says that the temperature is always upper than the temperature that says OpenHardwareMonitor, around 10°C more. When the battery goes above 70% all works fantastic, but this is unnaceptable. I understand short battery life while gaming but this is very annoying.
If you can help me I would apreciate it very much cause in my country is very difficult to go to a Support Center. Sorry for my bad english!

Hi @Mar23
Try the following and see whether it helps.
1. Carry out a battery reset, switch off the laptop, disconnect from mains, follow the instructions in the video, leave the laptop to rest for a while before starting.
https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/34843/~/acer-internal-battery-reset
2. Go to Device manager, expand Batteries, highlight and right click "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control method battery", click Properties, go to Driver tab and uninstall the driver, reboot and let Windows install the driver.
3. You could also try a manual calibration of the battery, the instructions are in the middle of this link:https://www.howtogeek.com/172271/how-to-calibrate-your-laptops-battery-for-accurate-battery-life-estimates/
You don't need to do all of them at once, try one method and check whether it makes any difference, if not carry on with other methods.
Click " Accept " if this was useful to you!!
Be Safe!!
