Predator G9-593 Needs Battery Reset to Start After I Did A Chkdsk

I'm looking for guidance.

I've had a myriad of issues with my laptop with regard to random shutdowns, not charging, etc. In the spring, it was at ACER repair, and they installed a new battery. Shortly after it's return, the problem occurred again. It stopped running off of the battery. When the front speakers started buzzing, I opened the case and disconnected them. It worked. At the same time, whatever I did got the battery working again, and I could charge it and unplug to run. Yay!

Unfortunately, I decided to run Novabench and do a chkdsk to clean up my files, etc., and now, it will not start without me disconnecting the battery and unplugging the hard drive and all that Jazz. Not even a press on the power key to reset (or in combination with the pinhole) does the trick. Is this a sign that my motherboard is going? Does it sound like a power issue?

Once it's running, there are no issues at all. It runs beautifully. But getting it running is an issue. When it starts, it does it in chunks. Lights up, pauses, lights flash, then pauses, then the screen engages and she's off and running. Please, experts, let me know if you've encountered anything like this. I engaged a guy to look at it, and he returned it because the screws were stripped and the case cracked (don't ask, but not, it was not dropped). Those issues have never effected the machine before, so I think he was just a baby. Never even took my advice on how to fire it up to run a check. Sigh. So I'm back here in need of help.

Thanks a bunch.
