Hi!

Due to coronavirus I left my laptop on my apartment for 4 months and now that I am back I noticed that the max fan speed for the CPU is 5080 while GPU is 6060. Is this correct? I can't remember if they were at the same speed back then.
The problem I have seen with this is that when playing Valorant and Streaming, with my fans on max speed, my CPU goes up to 80º C while my GPU keeps aroun 60º. I remember that back in february heat will keep constant in 60 with max speed for both the CPU and GPU, so I don't know if it has something to do with the difference between fan speeds or what.
I am worried that this will reduce the life of my laptop or that it is a factory problem that should be repair. I don't want to sent it for repairs if not necessary because it will take aroun a month to get it back and since school just started it would be problematic.

Has anyone got this kind of issue or knows if this is normal? Is it a manufacture problem?

Thank you in advance!

If i were you, i would clean the fans at regular intervals. You could try that and if that doesn't work, let us know.

    Mine is a 2017 Predator 300.

    Hey! Thanks for the reply!

Since I just have had it for less than a year I don't really want to open it yet.
It seems that your CPU and GPU speeds are also different so maybe that is how it should be.
Oh the other hand; I fixed my CPU temp issue. Seems like it is a problem from power management. After changing the procesor power from 100% to 99% temps droped a lot.
After testing with Valorant, Streaming, Discord and Predator Sense, temps remained below 80º with auto fan control. With max it kept in 60º so I think that solves the issue.

Still I would like to know if anyone has different values for their fan speeds.

You'll have to create two power plans to change accordingly your requirement as if you reduce the power management the cores will be locked at 2.48gz even in turbo mode,
make sure cool boost is on as it will help a little in Heat dissipation. if your GPU is reaching temp above 75 then repaste both CPU and GPU as the paste which is used in manufacturing is a ***** one
