Hey,

i would like to ask whats the perfect wide mode setting (Fullscreen,Aspect,1:1) with my Acer Xf252qx and an Nvidia2070super. My desktop scaling is on "No Scaling" because iam using native res in all games and it is supposed to have the least amount of input lag. Scaling via Display is ON (so no scaling via gpu) and Override game scaling is Off.

So how does the wide mode setting affect the nvidia settings and whats the best one to use with native res?

Best regards

Games in Fullscreen have better Performance, just because the explorer.exe of Windows can take a break. In window mode, it has to render the game and everything else you have open.

Use fullscreen mode and you can also optimize your window for gaming to get stable fps, reduce screen tearing, stuttering etc

hey, thanks for your guide. but your answer is not what i meant, i know games should run in exclusive fullscreen mode.

by widemode i mean the setting of my monitor, not within my operational system.

so the monitor has the mentioned options to scale, but how do these options apply and work with the nvidia desktop scaling, which scaling option has synergy or is dominant?

f.e. in nvidia, desktop scaling: No Scaling / monitor wide mode setting: Fullscreen, Aspect or 1:1? in theory should 1:1 be the same as no scaling right?
the out of the box setting is: Fullscreen.
