XZ322QU - Monitor Does not turn on when booting / coming back from pc sleeping

Monitor stays off with a solid red light, the control nub and power button do not function either. I have to unplug and re-plug it for it to function. This is a new monitor and it doesn't seem to have any settings to disable it's own 'deep-sleep' according to the manual I found on the website.

Monitor seems fine besides that, do I have to return it?

Talked to support, if you've done a clean install of drivers, try different ports, every other option already that they're going to ask you to do anyways, they'll ask you to send it in. Just return it to the store, unless you're past your return-by date.

Are you using HDMi or DisplayPort cable?  I have a similar problem that can only be fixed by using an HDMI cable and fiddling with the BIOS.

    Try another HDMI cable.

I had the exact same issue with my XZ322QU using the provided DP cable. Tried all of the tricks I could find online and nothing worked. I bought a different VESA-certified 1.4 DP cable and that appears to have solved the problem. The monitor woke up yesterday afternoon after the computer had been off for a few hours and woke up this morning after the computer had been off for more than 12 hours.

Update - There certainly seems to be a time-dependency on whether the monitor comes on or not. After letting the computer sit for nearly a day, the monitor did not turn on, so it was returned and replaced with a different brand 32" monitor. It's amazing how nice it is for a monitor to start up with the computer every single time!

Same issue with the KA272U. Me and another member got a Dell instead, and everything just works without the dreaded yellow light of death. There is something wrong with Acer DP implementation at least with some of their lines/lots.
