Is it ok to not use the 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and headphone jack on my Nitro 5 laptop?

So, I never use the 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports (left side) of my Acer Nitro 5 laptop (AN515-43-R2WK) because the usb cable of my mouse is a bit rusty. I also never use the headphone jack since I used a USB sound card (For audio and mic). Until now, I only used the USB 2.0 port (right side) and just plugged a USB hub, this is where I plugged my peripherals (mouse, keyboard, and sound card).

My laptop ports are safe from dust though because I covered them up with silicone anti-dust caps.

Now, is it possible to damage the unused USB ports by not using them for a long time?

Sorry for asking silly questions lately 😅, It is just that I am worried that I might damage something by not using their own purpose. Thank you in advance for the answers.
